Grayson Head Shot
"My name is Grayson Post and my goal is to play lacrosse at the collegiate level. I attend Westbrook High School in Westbrook, ME, where I'm currently a senior (Class of 2018). I'm a 5'11", 195-lb. attackman and midfielder who's already played three years of varsity lacrosse, and started every game. I was also our back-up goalie at times during my junior campaign. I spent the last four years playing club lacrosse with 207 Lacrosse, as well as with some other local organizations, before joining the Maine Mussels, Team Dirigo, and the Southern Maine River Rats in 2017.

Additionally, as a multi-sport athlete, I've also played four years of varsity soccer – SMAA 2nd-Team All-Conference my senior year, a season of high school basketball, and spent time training with OA Parisi Speed School, A.W. Strength & Conditioning, and Beyond Strength.

In the past, I've attended the following lacrosse summer camps and programs: Villanova 150 Showcase; Cardigan Mountain Lacrosse Camp; Bowdoin Polar Bear Lacrosse Camp; and Assumption College Prospect Day. In 2017, I attended Prospect Days at Saint Michael’s College, Saint Joseph’s College, Eastern University, and Sacred Heart University. All were great experiences, as I got to learn from some of the best coaches in the region, and play with and against some of its best players.

In 2015, following my freshman season of lacrosse, I was named Southern Maine Activities Association 2nd-Team All-Conference, the only SMAA freshman to receive a postseason award. I finished with a team-high 36 goals, 28 assists, was in the top ten in league scoring with 64 points, and was invited to tryout for the Underclassmen Showcase, which is usually dominated by juniors.

In 2016, my sophomore year, our team compiled it's best season ever, going 11-4 and winning a home playoff game for the first time in school history. Individually, I recorded 22 goals and 21 assists for 43 points, and was again invited to tryout for the Underclassmen Showcase. Over the summer, I was Rocky Coast's top scorer with 11 points in three games at the Stowe Lax Festival, and played with 207 Lacrosse at the Bryant Bulldog Classic, UMASS Mid-Summer Classic, and Stowe Lax Festival.

In 2017, my third season at Westbrook High School, I served as team captain, and was named Team MVP after finishing tops in goals (36) and points (46). I also collected 10 assists in route to being named SMAA Honorable Mention All-Conference. It was a tough season, as we finished with a 1-11 record, but it taught me a lot as a player and as a leader, and how to battle through adversity. I was again invited to tryout for the Underclassman Showcase. I also participated in the Legacy Lacrosse Tournament (Devens, MA), the Trilogy Lacrosse Tournament (Bryant University), and the Stowe Lax Festival (Stowe, VT) with both Maine Mussels and Team Dirigo. My Southern Maine River Rats team competed in the New England Lacrosse Classic in Taunton, MA.

Academically, I have an 89.7 grade-point average (3.46) and rank 62nd out of 212 students in my class. I've always excelled in math and science, and have taken a strong interest in exploring a career in mechanical engineering. I continue to work hard on my academics with hopes of raising my class rank and GPA. During the spring of 2017, I was recognized for my excellence in academics by being honored at Westbrook High School’s Academic Recognition Ceremony. On my SATs, I recorded a 560 on Math and a 520 on Evidence-Based Reading & Writing, for a total of 1,080.

I'm very much looking forward to what the future holds for me in the classroom and on the field.

Thank you very much for visiting my site. Your time is greatly appreciated!"

Sincerely,
Grayson Post
